The directors and writers, Goran Stankovic and Vladimir Tagic, as well as producer Snezana van Houwelingen have been chosen to participate with the project „Sabre“ at the prestigous program for TV series development, Midpoint TV Launch 2021.
Project „Sabre“ was chosen from a large number of international submissions. It is an 8-part, hour-long, political thriller fiction series, focusing on a female journalist investigating the murder of the Serbian Prime Minister. The country’s recent past presents the backdrop for the main character’s search for the truth in a corrupted justice system. So far “Sabre” has received support from the MEDIA Creative Europe development program, as well as the Cinelink Best Pitch Award at the Sarajevo 2019 Film Festival. The Sabre team is behind the successful series “Morning Changes Everything” that was broadcast on RTS in 2018.

The Midpoint one year training is aimed for film professionals from Central and Eastern Europe, it consists of three workshops that are lead by professionals with experience in working with platforms such as HBO and Netflix. The program will focus on developing the narrative structure of the entire season of the show, as well as evolving financial and marketing strategies.
